Dreams take time to grow through learning and accumulation.
Keep learning and building your skills, rather than waiting until an opportunity comes to start working hard. There are no overnight successes, only dots that connect over time.
Keep preparing yourself, so when the opportunity arrives, you can seize it and hit it out of the park.
Dedicated to you, who never stops learning and growing.

I believe we all have little souls that leave a lasting mark on our hearts. They may not be with us every day—perhaps they were animals we came across on the street one day, or ones we encountered only once while traveling. Yet, somehow, they leave a deep impression on us.
They are no longer here, but they will always live in my heart. I will continue to look for those who are still out there. To me, they are little sparks of light in everyday life, making the world a more beautiful place.

Every version of yourself at every stage is exactly who you’re meant to be.
Who you are in this moment is already enough.
Just like people often say—you’re in your own time zone, and everything is right on time.
Don’t follow others blindly or believe there is only one path for you,
because you truly hold infinite possibilities.
You are good enough.
You are good enough.

There were times when I felt like I was endlessly falling—lost, confused, and unable to tell anyone how I truly felt. I knew there were paths I could take, yet it was as if my inner navigation had failed, leaving me trapped in a dead end.
Thankfully, some people don’t offer grand advice; they simply stay quietly by your side. They gently pull you out of the darkness and guide you toward an exit, helping you realize—“There are other paths after all.”
I’m grateful for these small rays of light.
And I hope that one day, I can be that kind of presence for someone else.

On the path toward our goals, not everything is pleasant.
I used to wonder why things always ended without results, but eventually I realized that whenever challenges appeared, I used “staying true to my feelings” and “seeking comfort” as excuses to escape—only pushing myself further off course.
Now, I see difficulties as obstacles that must be crossed before success, and I’m willing to face them head-on. I once wanted to avoid working on this illustration, but after completing it, I realized how insignificant my earlier frustration truly was.
What really holds us back is not the hardship itself, but our instinct to run away from discomfort.

The things that once felt meaningless in the moment have actually become the nourishment that led you to where you are today.
So there’s no need to overthink whether a decision is right or wrong—because honestly, you won’t know just by thinking about it.
Just go, try, explore, and learn through the mistakes along the way.
Every choice you make for yourself isn’t about which one is better or worse.
Every decision is the best decision.

Even the most hardworking and resilient people can sometimes find themselves in a place of unease.
In that state of uncertainty, the mind keeps denying and questioning itself, making you feel small, weaker than others, and forgetting how much you’ve grown along the way.
No matter what path you are on, I believe that every experience— whether good or bad—has never been for nothing. The strength forged through those moments is like the eagles soaring in the sky, symbols of power, that have always been by your side.
I believe everyone has something they excel at. Even within the same field, there will be things you can do especially well that others might not be able to.
This is what makes you unique, and where your strength truly shines.
Those are your own eagles. When you move forward with them, you’ll discover you are stronger than you thought capable of achieving things you once believed impossible.
Every person is a being of great strength.

We are all imperfect and asymmetrical rough stones, yet each of us is worthy of being shaped and refined.
Through the trials, experiences, and realizations we encounter throughout life, these rough stones are gradually carved and polished into shining gems. By breaking free from the frames that define us, we learn to embrace our own light and shine in our own way.
Along the journey, there are always little glimmers to guide us. Sometimes, that light comes from within; sometimes, it comes from someone else.
Eventually, these glimmers lead us to find our own shining star — or perhaps, we become the light that helps illuminate someone else’s path.

I finally figured out where my recent sense of powerlessness came from—
It came from seeking validation from the wrong person, place, or thing.
It’s like this:
At first, you think, “Yes, this is exactly where I’m meant to go.”
But the truth is, the map was wrong from the start.
You didn’t know, so you just kept walking—because everyone else was heading that way too.
But as the scenery changed, you started to feel… unsure.
Then I realized—
This isn’t where I belong.
I can’t keep walking this path.
Even if that place looks bright,
Even if everyone else is there,
Even if it feels safe or like you’re keeping up—
It’s not mine.
And I don’t need to be there to shine.
So, I’ve decided to light a lamp for myself.
Even if there are no streetlights ahead,
I can still light the way with my own hands.
Yes, it feels a little scary.
But I don’t want to lie to myself anymore.
If you’re feeling lost on your journey—
Please know, it’s not because there’s something wrong with you.
You just took a longer route.
You can always realign and return to the road that’s truly yours.
Light a lamp for yourself. 🌟

On the journey toward a goal, there will always be people who doubt you. They make you feel like, “I’m not good enough, I’m not meant for this, even if I try, it won’t matter.” But I can’t help but ask — How would they know? Maybe they’re right.
But should I give up just because they said so?
Whose life am I living, anyway? I’m tired of this.
I want to find out for myself. Even if I fail, I’ll gain so much along the way — Isn’t that how growth happens?
If I do nothing, I gain nothing. When no one else believes in me, I have to believe in myself.
So, I’ll hold up my telescope, keep my eyes on the goal, and even if I’m slow, clumsy, or unsupported, I’ll walk toward it — step by step, on my own.

My mind is filled with thoughts.
After letting my mind wander freely,
I finally find a moment of calm. The thoughts scattered everywhere are slowly picked up and put back in order, while I wait for my overheated mind to cool down.
And then, new thoughts begin to appear again.
Thinking about this, thinking about that,
over and over,
without end.

Most of the time,
there’s a strong wind blowing in my mind.
So many thoughts rush through my head at full speed.
My mind is constantly busy.
A simple gesture,
a single sentence,
even a passing thought
can stir up a strong wind in my mind.
Sometimes,
it just won’t stop.
One gust of wind stirs up a thought,
and that thought pulls another one along,
which leads to another…
Until everything spirals out of control,
turning into a of thoughts.
Maybe people who seem calm often have the busiest minds.

A tiny light lives within my heart.
It is the gentle glow that keeps me going.
Whenever I feel like giving up, there’s always a quiet voice telling me not to.
Perhaps that’s where it comes from.
Every disappointment, every moment of confusion,
passes through this space.
And in the end,
everything settles back into peace.
There is nothing that cannot be overcome.
I’m sure there is a small yet unwavering light
shining within your heart, too.

My thoughts are like ribbons,
growing freely and drifting through my mind.
I can‘t control where they go.
All I can do is let them keep flying
until the wind finally dies down.
Just when my mind becomes quiet,
another breeze comes along
and sends my thoughts into the air again.
They never stop flying.
My thoughts never truly stop.

How heavy is your dream?
In a crowded city like this, dreams can start to feel heavier and heavier.
The more you try to lift them up for others to see, the more exhausted you become.
I often feel frustrated too, even though I’ve already come quite far.
I hope I can have the strength to hold my dream—
steady and slow—
and hang it high enough to shine.
So it can light up my own path,
and also those who are still searching for light.
I hope you also have the strength to support your own dream,
and let it shine in your world.
What kind of dream do you have?
Share it—when you say it out loud, it starts becoming a real story.

Which moments you thought you couldn’t survive
have become lights within you?
Everyone has a small pool inside.
Through challenges, we refine light and gently keep it there. When facing the next challenge, we draw out a star for strength—
and looking back, we realize that we’ve made it through those difficult times before, and that we’ve grown.
he noise outside can easily affect our thoughts,
making us endlessly doubt ourselves.
But don’t forget—your inner world is what truly deserves to be protected.
It is the shield that helps you face everything happening around you.
So don’t be afraid of the darkness or the storms.
Every experience adds a new star to your pool.
What star have you drawn lately? ✨

Lately, it feels like I’ve spent enough time standing at the crossroads, and I‘m finally ready to start moving forward.
I’m beginning to understand more clearly the direction I want to take.
I‘m no longer as lost as I used to be, nor am I easily swayed by what others do or achieve.
As we grow older and experience more of life, I think we slowly come to understand ourselves better.
Don’t you think that‘s true?
I believe that each of us carries an invisible light within—a light that quietly guides us along our own path.

A collaborative publication project with the Armed Forces Military Villages Resource Center of the Republic of China,
documenting the colors collected from 30 military dependents’ villages across Taiwan over nearly three years.
The book introduces the history and background of each village,
along with color records gathered through field research and observation.
These distinctive village colors were then translated into illustrations throughout the publication.
